Hi. The option of excerpt lenght does not work if the summary field is filled. I put 10 words maximum but it keeps the original lenght.

That’s correct. The manual excerpt in WordPress assumes that since you’ve taken the time to fill it out, you want the entire thing to show up.
Not sure there’s a way around it without building your own excerpt function, unfortunately.
