Hi Tom,
I see this matter come up a lot and thought that it would make an excellent option for a future update to the Pro version.
That being to prevent WP from stripping the formatting of the post excerpts 🙂 Would be ever so nice to tick a box in the WPSP list setup to “Preserve Excerpt Formatting”.

LyleIt’s possible, but involves kind of “hacking” the core excerpt function which is a little messy and can be buggy.
I typically suggest that people use the More tag in situations that call for it.
I haven’t looked at preserving HTML in excerpts in a long time, so I’ll see if there’s any updates recently that are less messy 🙂
