    Hi Tom!

Are the social media buttons with the European GDPR suitable (double opt in solution, like the Shariff Wrapper)?

    Hi there,

The social sharing icons don’t collect any personal identifiable information, so they should be 100% GDPR compatible 🙂

Looking into this some more, and our heart icon does log IP addresses in order to remember who has liked/unliked the post.

We’re looking into an alternative way to handle this, but in the meantime you may want to turn that icon off to be fully GDPR compatible.

Where are the logs saved? In the database (localhost) or on a external server? On the local database is this no problem, in this case our privacy police works with it.

They’re logged within your websites database. They aren’t sent to any third party service.
