When I enter a number in the image size the image does not display.

That’s a new one 🙂

Any errors in your error_log file on your server?

Any chance you have another host/server to test it on?

Can you try deactivating other plugins to see if there’s a compatibility issue?

No conflicts but I found the problem. I use

Amazon Web Services https://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-web-services/
with
WP Offload S3 Lite https://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-s3-and-cloudfront/

what it does it removes the images off my server onto amazons3.

so the error is:

Ah, that makes sense. WordPress image resizing requires the image to be local. I’m not sure if there’s a way around that I’m afraid – I’ll do a little research.
