When I am using WPSP in posts (even without social sharing buttons of WPSP) the Social Media share buttons of my actual post are not shown. Once I deactivate WPSP in the post the feature is shown again. The same problem occurs while I am using AP Social Sharing Plugin or the AddToAny Plugin.

So you have WPSP inside your actual post, and the social sharing icons for that post (not the posts in WPSP) aren’t showing?

It could be that the plugins are confused about which query to use.

Displaying posts inside a post (same post type) will most likely cause some weirdness like this.

I’ll look into if there’s anything I can do 🙂

Right, the social sharing symbols are not showing for the actual post. In the WPSP list I am not using social sharing. I would love to use WPSP to show a list of other topic related posts, otherwise, it would not make much sense to me to use WPSP.

I’ll do some testing and see what I can do. It might be an incompatibility between how those plugins add the icons and how WPSP queries the posts.

Will update this topic once I know more 🙂

The problem with the social media also occurs on pages referring to posts. In this case, I have to deactivate the plus and the normal version of wpsp to get the social share buttons.

I did not use social sharing buttons in the wpsp list.

    This should be fixed.

    It’s up on Github: https://github.com/tomusborne/WP-Show-Posts

I’ll be releasing an update on WordPress.org once I’ve tested a bit more 🙂
