ParticipantHi,
Not sure how to control the “Load More” button on the ShowPost. It is on my Home page and when it is clicked…it shows nearly EVERY post card it can grab…pretty ugly when that happens. Need to either get that button removed or get it under control.
Any suggestions on how to do so will be appreciated…have found the files mentioned on “.htaccess”….do not see where in this file it includes what is needed to address what is happening with this button though.
Thank you for your advice on this matter.

ModeratorHi there,
The Load more button shows the number of post equal to the “Post per page” value you set.
So for example, you’ve set the post per page to
5
, if you click the load more button, 5 more posts will appear.Do you want to have a different number of posts to be loaded by the load more button?
If so:
There’s no way to customize the number of posts to be loaded to differ from the post per page value at the moment within the WPSP UI, unfortunately.
Y can issue a feature request if this is indeed the one you’re trying to achieve.

ParticipantElvin,
Thank you, if it is set to “5 per page”…and yet we are talking about the space NOT of a page but of a small block…yes, it needs to change.
On a page, I would like it to show a few more than just drip….drip…etc. I think you see my meaning.
Where can I make this change?

ParticipantElvin,
Also, when the button is clicked, the size changes on the show post box of the primary or focus post on the page…why is that happening?
Thank you

ModeratorCan you link us to the page in question so we could check what may be causing it?
You can send us the link on the contact page here: https://wpshowposts.com/contact/

ModeratorAh I see now.
You have multiple WPSP lists in one page. Having multiple WPSP lists is known to cause issues with Pagination+AJAX(load more) and masonry.
You can even test it on your site by temporarily removing the all other WPSP List on the page.
There’s no fix for this at the moment, unfortunately.

ParticipantElvin,
I am not sure if I understand correctly. Are we talking about the categories associated with each post, that there are 2 showboxes displayed on the same page, or something else?
If we are not supposed to have more than one showbox on the page…how else do we accomplish displaying for the homepage different categories of posts?
In either case…I do still need to know how to remove that button if it cannot be adjusted.
Thank you for your time in researching this.

If there are 2 or more WP Show Post lists in a page, the load more and masonry doesn’t work well. The page you’ve linked has 2 WP Show Post lists. 1 each on the left and the right of an elementor container.
In either case…I do still need to know how to remove that button if it cannot be adjusted.
You can disable masonry by unchecked it in the columns settings as shown here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/rRukWBXZ
The pagination will still work.

ParticipantTook “Masonry” off. Now I am getting a full page…not limited to the set “2” and many duplicates.
…not working and not professional.
Help!!!

KeymasterHi there,
You can keep Masonry enabled. What you need to do is remove pagination, specifically AJAX pagination: https://www.screencast.com/t/EmComvo5cej
Pagination is not intended to work when there are multiple lists on a single page (you have two on the home page).
If you disable pagination, the issue should go away.

ParticipantTom,
Thank you! That worked!!
Please, could you tell me the difference in effect when checking the box for “Masonry” versus “Featured Post”? Also, can or should they be checked at the same time?…what does that do?
Thank you, you have an awesome team!
Wanted to be sure that my last message made it…that I did not get interrupted in sending it, that when I had mentioned earlier, about “unprofessional”, it was not directed at the team. That was referencing the effect on my page and my concern with what I was unable to get corrected. Just wanted to be sure you and the WP Show Posts team know that you are greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!

KeymasterHi there,
Awesome!
Masonry will display your posts in a waterfall/stacked kind of layout where no space is “wasted”. You can see it in action here: https://masonry.desandro.com/
A “featured post” simply displays the post as a wider width than the other posts when displaying your posts in columns.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantIt does! That is very cool!
Thank you!
