Hi Tom,
I have some questions regarding the Image Lighbox Gallery function when time permits. We had discussed this in an email in early June, and you mentioned it was possible. I’ve finally gotten around to it.
This is our current site, built with GP Pro + Element. I want to replicate this carousel using GP Pro + WPSP Pro.

The carousel in question is in the section “Wedding Photography Galleries”. This posts in this carousel are pulled from 6 posts in a category created just for this carousel They are set as no-follow and not available on the site. They are to feed content to this carousel only.
Each post represents a theme (Wedding Preparation, for example). If you click on the photo for Wedding Preparation, a Lightbox gallery opens. The first photo is this post’s featured image, and the remaining photos are pulled from the photos in the body of this one post.
One the development site, I’ve set up the carousel and the Image Lightbox Gallery function, as well as the 6 posts just as on the current site. When I click on an image in the carousel, a Lightbox gallery opens, but it pulls the featured images from the other posts in the same category, not from the photos in the body of that one post.
Please visit the development site and click on the photo for “Wedding Day Details” in the carousel in the section “Wedding Photography Galleries”.

How can I configure the WPSP carousel to pull the photos in a post’s body for the Image Lightbox Gallery for each post instead of the featured images of the other posts in the same category?

Hi there,
As of right now that kind of functionality isn’t possible in WPSP, unfortunately. Our lightbox/carousel functionality is for the posts within the list only – we don’t have access to the images within the body of the posts, unfortunately.

Thanks for the response.
That’s too bad. That’s the primary reason I purchased the Pro version. Prior to purchasing it, I had asked in an email if it could do perform those functions, and was told it should be possible in the beta version.
Do you know of another plugin that can do this by chance? Is there any way to modify the code of WPSP to either pull from the body of the post or from a photos in Media for an each Image Lightbox Gallery?

Sorry about that, I must have misunderstood the required functionality.

That’s the way things go sometimes. WPSP is working out great for our post lists on our custom PHP templates, by the way!
