    Hi Tom,

No big deal here, but if you could take a quick look at this plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/video-thumbnails/ , and see if there is something that could be done to have it display the videao thumbnail that is generated. I am planning on creating a bunch of videos and this would save a lot of time 🙂 Just a note that when used in the default WP blog archive page, it does display the video thumbnail; just doesn’t do so when using WPSP – Pro to display the posts on a page.

    Cheers!

    Hi Lyle,

It would display if you display the full post or use the more tag, but excerpts will always strip out HTML.

I have an idea for the pro version to include a metabox on each post which would allow you to add in code for videos, shortcodes etc.. and it would replace the featured image. Thoughts?

That would be a great idea, Tom! 🙂

For the current matter, changing to Full from Excerpt will do the job as there will not be much text for each post.

Perfect – the more tag might be a good solution as well if you end up adding more text 🙂

    Has this capability been added?

    Hi there,

unfortunately that has not been implemented. It seems it was not as easy an option as first thought.

The alternative method would be to use a plugin like ACF to add the custom field – that could then be hooked into the Post.
