Thanks as always Elvin. Would love to actually see SP as a block. Can’t wait!
Thanks Elvin. Maybe I misunderstood. I have read a few times that SP may be turned into a block. I automatically, and maybe in error, just assumed this will be a GB block?
Always appreciate your responses and expertise!
Thanks for the detailed response. If SP gets rolled into GB, I assume SP will be sunsetted? ie. We purchased less than a year ago so wondering how that will work?
I tried your code in the customer as a check and the ones with a portrait feature image where it’s taller than wide is not cropped properly. I see white bars on the sides as it’s displaying the tallest portion. I have removed the width and height in WP Show Posts. Mind sharing some CSS that might work to keep all images either at 300×250 or even 300×300?
Wait a minute, how do I send you a private link for the website in question?
Interesting. Will just using CSS work if some images are portrait and some are landscape of varying sizes? Before I load this, I wonder if this will create unproportional ratios of the original image. Or will object-fit: cover; fix this issue?
We need post__in as a dropdown option? 🙂
That is awesome to hear, thank you for the heads up!
ok, I hooked this in Elements and it worked: <link rel=”preload” href=”https://www.domain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-show-posts-pro/fonts/wp-show-posts.ttf?ka575c” as=”font” crossorigin=”anonymous”>
I am little worried that ?ka575c was dynamic and will change but the post you shared also looks like others have the same URL. I used the above and it made the Google Warnings go away. Hope that is the proper method for the long run, thank you!
I think I found a way. In short, I needed to display Posts based on the order that they were entered. None of the drop down menu had this option, at least none that I could find. I finally used this:
[wp_show_posts id=”xxxx” settings=”orderby=post__in”]
Is this the proper way?
