ParticipantHi Benjamin,
There is an Offset option in More Settings. Or is this something different that you are suggesting?
Cheers!

ParticipantThat sounds great, Tom ! 🙂
BTW, my sister in James Bay sent me some “disturbing” photos … there’s this white stuff all over the place! LOL 🙂
Lyle
ParticipantOh, that’s never fun … get better soon 🙂
Yes, just like it currently works when one clicks on a tag in a post but I would like to have WPSP display the result.
Lyle
ParticipantUPDATE: I bumped up the Excerpt count to 35 from the default 30 and the shortcode is gone! 🙂
Note that before I did the above, I switched to WP 2016 (deactivated GP-P) and it was the same thing. So not sure if this is still something with WPSP, but in the meantime, it’s working for this site so I’ll mark this Resolved 🙂
Lyle
ParticipantYep, tried the deactivate all plugins except WPSP route, but thanks to the screencast of your post, I found out what is “going on” and I am not sure if it’s a WPSP or a WP thing.
This is what I have on that page for the gallery, which shows the shortcode in the excerpt:
[gallery link="file" columns="2" size="full" ids="199,198,197,196,195,194,193,192,191,190,189,188,187"]
When I get rid of the options, and just have this, it “works”, that is, the shortcode is not displayed in the excerpt:
[gallery ids="199,198,197,196,195,194,193,192,191,190,189,188,187"]
Hmmm … 🙂 But I would like to use the options 🙂

ParticipantHere is the page in question:
Version 1.0 from the WP repo, no Pro installed on this site.
I tried the usual t/s method of deactivating all plugins except WPSP and still the same. Tried removing the Read more as well; still shows.
Lyle
ParticipantThanks Tom. I was wondering that sort of thing myself but thought that as that post is being displayed in the right sidebar in the WPSP widget, that it would be “out of the loop”.
Lyle
ParticipantYes, that is correct. Whichever post is selected to be shown in the WPSP widget, regardless of the tag or category, results in the “error” when that particular post is the “single post”.
Lyle
ParticipantActually, the other one, Duplicate Posts, does do Post Lists 🙂
Lyle
ParticipantI should have been more specific … the “settings” are all the same, but there are 6 separate categories 🙂
The same as on the Sniffle Valve Tutorial page … 8 WPSP lists with all the same settings, but 8 groups of pages.
Lyle
ParticipantHi Tom,
Just to confirm that indeed the Duplicate Post plugin works with WPSP, shows the Posts List as an option in the Permissions tab > Enable for these post types.
I needed this functionality on a site I am rebuilding with WPSP/Pro and have 6 lists that all have the same settings.
Might be an idea for an update at some point 🙂
Cheers!
LyleLyle
ParticipantThat would be a great idea, Tom! 🙂
For the current matter, changing to Full from Excerpt will do the job as there will not be much text for each post.

ParticipantHi Tom,
Sorry for the delay, but I was out for a while.
All works perfectly with the new files inserting the WPSP WP Widget into Elementor and also with using the EL Shortcode widget and EL Text widget! 🙂 One can go out and come back into EL without that error 🙂 Yay! 🙂
Thanks Tom, I’d say it’s good to go 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantI tried the Social Icons plugin from ThemeGrill and used the EL Shortcodes element and they displayed as soon as I pasted in the code and was able to go out and back in without the error.
I should have also mentioned, that inserting the WP WPSP Widget worked as well, with one caveat. I initially got an error on the front end, but when I selected a different WPSP list, it worked. And then when I selected the fist one (that gave the error), it worked as well … go figure 🙂
